7 Warning signs of a heart attack

A Heart attack might not always come with an indicator of chest pain. In a few cases, people fail to realize that they suffered a heart attack a moment back. You will be surprised to know a few heart attacks start gradually, with mild pain.

Quite a few factors like heredity, age, high blood pressure, obesity, high cholesterol, lack of physical activity et al can contribute to a heart attack.

You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep, do not wake up.

Here is how you can identify a heart attack.

Shortness of breath

If you often get exhausted without any heavy physical activity, chances are that something wrong is happening.

Chest discomfort

A heart attack can be a reason for the discomfort in the center of the chest lasting more than a few minutes

Pain in the jaw line

Be aware of the intense pain in the jaw line as it can be an indicator of a mild heart attack that you may otherwise not even realize.

Excessive perspiration

Again, if you perspire unusually, especially when you aren’t exercising or aren’t physically active, it could be a warning sign of a heart problem. Sweating during the night is a common symptom of heart trouble among women.

Indigestion or nausea

Prior to a heart attack, people often experience nausea or vomiting and mild indigestion and thence, if the problem persists, please consult your doctor immediately.

Pain in the upper part of the body

You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. If you experience a pain in the upper locations of your body such as shoulder, back, upper abdomen, teeth/jaw and throat, it could be a triggering sign for heart trouble.

Uncomfortable pressure

Particularly among women, if there is a sensation of an uncomfortable pressure, pain in the center of the chest, squeezing, for more than a few minutes or if it’s fluctuating (comes and goes away), it is recommended that you see a doctor ahead of these warning signs.
