Protect Your Children From The Third Wave

The Third Wave of Corona is Coming and is Expected To Hit Children

The third wave of Covid-19 is said to hit the children. The parents and guardians need to take care of their children by following the protocols.

As there is an unavailability of vaccines for children, the cases among them are increasing. The second wave did not spare children, and the third wave wouldn’t too! Fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, sore throat, diarrhea, loss of smell, loss of taste, gastrointestinal symptoms like loose motions, nasal congestion, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, a headache, dry cough, body, and muscle pain are the symptoms that children may show. If seen, it is suggested to take them for immediate medical care.

Precautions to avoid contracting Covid-19 in Children

Children of age 2 and above need to wear a mask in public. There is a small risk of children suffocating, hence it is required for children to be under the supervision of an adult. Children need not wear a mask while doing physical exercises like running, jumping, and playing, so that it doesn’t compromise their breathing.

Provide children with nutritious food to boost up their immunity. Avoid junk food.

Disinfect all the things in the house that are touched regularly.

Avoid taking your children to crowded places.

A covid-19 vaccine is not yet approved in children in India. All children should get an annual flu shot. It will protect them till the point a covid-19 vaccine comes up for children.
